Back to Things I Love Thursday just because it’s gloomy and in the middle of winter. We *NEED* uplifting and smiles to get through until SPRING!

The Happiness Project – Gretchen Rubin. I know, I know. How much more can I go on and on about this book? it’s just a nice good self-helping read. Chicken soup for the improvement of the soul I guess.

Snowboarding: I finally can carve on  BOTH sides and link my turns. OH YEA. Ok, I’m not exactly professional but I can at least do the blue slopes in Oregon which means I can probably handle the blues/intermediates on East coast which is considerably smaller – just more icy. (it’s hell snowboarding on ice for you west coast boarders!)

SLEEPING IN: oh the luxury of sleeping in on weekends! Or on weekdays where you don’t have an exact time to be in. I am so grateful that at my work, people can come in at anytime of the day unless it’s toooo late. I had a meeting today at 9.30 am which is early for me so just this one, I had to suffer which in turn made me realize how much I took my lax work schedule for granted!

Mad Men: new show boyfriend and I’ve started watching. Very 50s/60s era about the New York Advertising Agencies on Madison Ave. Coined Mad Men. Lots of history about how it was back the, sexism and cigarettes are rampant. There’s not much live action but lots of small things history buffs may notice.

Food Events: You get to drink and eat all kinds of foods from different places and best of all? The money from tickets usually goes to charities. :) Eat Happy and Give. I love that.

I love sleeping in and not being interrupted while sleeping. =)

ahh snowboarding. I’ve only gone about 4 times. and I suck. I fall about 1000 times when “carving” down the hill! Haha. I’m over here on the west side though. Maybe you can come and go ice boarding. :)
Oh man, and lucky you for being able to go to work whenever. I wish I had that luxury. I would be so much more efficient if I wasn’t tired!!!

Happy Friday!

I’m so sad.. there hasn’t been any snow here so I haven’t gone boarding since the beginning of the month. =**( All our mountains are like dirt now except for the fake snow they’re going to make.

I can link some of my turns but I always fall because I’m in disbelief that I’m actually carving so I fall.. hahahaha. Does that ever happen to you?
